One day is ceremonial, 364 days is revolutionary...
I am of the belief that having one day to celebrate women and all that we are is amazing.
I am all about cheering women on, lifting them up to see their potential and passion.
I support and encourage women to share their voices and stories, but why do we need one day to talk about the issues and rights of women?
Is it so we are quiet for the other 364 days of the year?
Respecting women, uplifting women, seeing women as equals, as leaders, as more than their sex, believing in us, appreciating who we are as HUMANS has to be the reality and making these changes every single day is how we move into the future.
One day is ceremonial, 364 days is revolutionary.
We need to be having conversations about women, men and children every day, how can we achieve balance and kindness into our daily lives.
Change starts with us. Change starts when we support.
Change starts when we believe we are equal and worth it all.
I have had many moments where I have been discriminated as a woman, but I have loved being a woman. I have taken what life has thrown at me and taken it in my stride and got on with my life.
I have done things because I WANTED to and HAVEN'T done things because I DIDN'T want to.
If anything I have thought being a woman was an advantage, a way to make the world better.
Now is the time to embrace our female power and be brave.
To be a woman in this moment is a powerful force.
Let's keep celebrating who we are and making sure men come to the party too!
