The cape of intuition
As a woman I often forget to use my intuition.
There have been many moments in my life where I have ignored my six sense.
The churning of my stomach.
The feeling that something isn’t quite right.
We overthink the feeling, ignoring the butterflies freaking out.
It is the moment; we don’t question the force but rather ourselves.
The power of our bodies is endless, it can guide and warn us.
But somewhere we forget that our intuition is our superpower.
Our intuition is a response to something or someone in our lives.
Intuition is our messenger that has our best interests at heart.
So why are we shooting the messenger – so to speak?
Part of the reason I feel we forget to tap into our intuition, is we are often listening to outside forces.
The voices of them and they – the people we know and the ones hiding in plan sight.
The conversations can be loud and all consuming.
In our digital world, we are hyper connected across a plethora of social media platforms, with thousands of people pushing their influence.
We are consuming, listening, scrolling- taking in all the ideas, opinions, and thoughts of so many.
But we forget to listen to one person – ourselves.

𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙬𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙫𝙚.
𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙬𝙚 𝙙𝙚𝙫𝙤𝙩𝙚 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙜𝙮.
𝙒𝙝𝙤 𝙬𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙚.
𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙥.
It is important not to discount our feelings- our instincts and perceptions. In fact, we know more about what is good for us than any other person.
From experience, I felt my intuition fail me when I became a Mum for the first time.
It was during this time that I questioned everything I was doing. Was I doing motherhood, right?
As the clouds of sleep deprivation grew heavy and no baby handbook insight, you soon realise you must tap into your intuitive magic to pull you through.
When I became a Mum Instagram was new and influencers didn’t have an algorithm- but the pressure to be seen as the perfect Mum was still a thing. Still is.
The pressures women put on themselves is blocking our intuition.
And it isn’t good for us. Without our insights into how we want to live how can we find contentment?
There will always be noise from others even the negative self-talk many of us are still trying to silence.
So how do we rediscover our intuition?
It is to listen to our inner voice, the one that speaks to our heart not our mind.
The inner voice that if you follow will lead you to self-discovery rather than self-doubt.
Intuition is our inner voice showing us the way into the unknown, giving us strength to face challenges and gifting us with a sense of wonder to keep going.
Big love
