Woman Who Breaks the Mould 2024
For as long as she can remember, Adrienne Bradshaw has had to adapt. At 14 she held down two jobs, cared for her siblings, and ran their household all while still studying – she was determined to finish year 12. She did and became the very first one in five generations to graduate from high school.
When Adrienne was put on permanent bed rest during her 3rd pregnancy. She needed some help around the house. A cleaner came to help but everyone that she tried would do the floors, bathrooms and the like, no one however, was interested in the clutter and the ‘things’ that accumulated around the house. There were two kids still running a muck while she was interned to the bed and couch.
So, while pregnant, unwell, and raising 2 other children, an idea was born.
She soon realised that there were people living with so much clutter that they didn’t even know where to start. So they just didn’t and so the cycle continues, until some homes are almost unliveable.
Some are clinically diagnosed with hoarding disorders, some are NDIS clients, and others are aged care – they used to be able to do things, but now they just can’t. Maybe they’ve had an injury, or are struggling, with mental health. Or, sometimes it’s a home with 60 years worth of memories and you just can’t bear to be the one to decide what is kept and what is not. No matter the reason, these everyday people are so overwhelmed with life, that they just don’t start the de-cluttering process at all.
That’s where Adrienne and her team come in. Their compassion, the care they show, and their non-judgmental approach, leaves homes tidier and helps minds be a little clearer
In addition to the business she runs, while raising her family, Adrienne offers free community sessions as she believes that we all deserve to be the best version of ourselves and sometimes that can start with something as simple as a tidy space that is free from clutter.
Her main goal in life though, is to show her daughters that if they can dream it, they can do it.
Their mumma had an idea literally while bed- ridden, and today that idea that she pursued, curated and executed has her standing before you as the Woman Who Breaks the Mould.
