Health and Wellbeing Warrior 2025
Sari Jurczyluk symbolises everything this award represents – compassion, strength, and an unwavering dedication to the health and wellbeing of mothers and families. She began working in the health industry 21 years ago, following her own fertility struggles, and wound up in a profession where she makes a genuine impact on women, families, and our community – every day. In her own words, Doul means ‘to serve woman’ – and to her, women’s health is the most interesting and inspiring industry.

Sari’s approach to maternal health goes beyond traditional care. She listens with an open heart, creating a safe and welcoming space for women to share fears, joys – and challenges. She understands that motherhood is not just a physical journey – but an emotional and mental one as well. Through her expertise in massage therapy, she provides essential physical relief, easing discomfort and promoting relaxation for pregnant and postpartum mothers. However, her impact extends far beyond her hands-on practice – she is a pillar of strength for families navigating the heartbreak of miscarriage and stillbirth, offering unwavering support, compassion, and a steady presence in a person’s darkest moments.
Sari has a wonderfully community-minded approach as well – collaborating with other health professionals, to ensure that every mother she supports receives comprehensive, holistic care. She actively advocates for a patient-centred approach, encouraging women to prioritise their own wellbeing, unapologetically.
From our perspective, Sari’s work challenges outdated perceptions of maternal health, shifting the conversation toward one of empowerment, education, and proactive care – which let’s face it, is absolutely fabulous! The testimonials of those she has supported speak volumes about her impact. For one mother, Sari turned a daunting pregnancy journey into a beautiful and empowering experience, providing reassurance and knowledge that helped her embrace motherhood with confidence. Another family credits Sari with helping a father process the trauma of a difficult birth, guiding him through the experience with kindness and understanding, to ultimately create a positive postpartum period for the entire family.
But it’s not just her profession where this genuine passion, care and love shines through – Sari is also an ambassador for Red Nose and a bereavement counsellor.
For our community – not just women, but men, children and families – Sari’s impact on women’s health is immeasurable, for what it gives back to families as a whole. She changes lives not just through the care she provides, but through the way she inspires women to see their own strength and resilience. Her dedication and leadership is so incredibly inspiring, and makes her an undeniable Health and Wellbeing Warrior.
